WHO AM I?
Hey there! My name’s James. I’m a commercial photographer and retoucher with over 12 years of experience in the industry. Based in Manchester, I’m available for freelance work across the UK.
Having retouched much of my own photography throughout my career, I understand how to shoot efficiently to streamline the post-production process without compromising quality.
Whether you need me to shoot, retouch, or both, I’m here to help. I’m flexible too — I can work weekdays, weekends, come to your studio or location, or work remotely, whichever suits your project best.

For some brands, the priority is delivering maximum quality. For others, it’s about producing maximum quantity. Thanks to my experience and workflow, there does not have to be that compromise and I’m equipped to deliver both.
WHAT CAN I DO?
From fashion to food, or footwear to fragrances, I have the skillset to shoot and retouch pretty much anything in the studio.
My greatest strengths though lay within product and still life, especially when it comes to capturing challenging objects— like those with reflective or shiny surfaces. Patience and technical know-how are key. These subjects often demand meticulous attention to detail and advanced lighting techniques to overcome reflections and shadows, ensuring each image looks flawless and visually compelling.
